HOW WE MEASURE

How we take measurements

Manufacturers cut and size their products in fairly disparate manners, due to differences in perceived fit as well as local demographics.

The best way to make sizing decisions is to compare an item's measurement with a similar item that fits you well.  Since there are different ways to take measurements, and because we want our garment measurements to be as helpful as possible, we have created video segments showing clearly how we measured the items for sale in our store.

ABOUT Heschung

In 1934, the Heschung family began manufacturing heavy-duty boots and work shoes in France’s Northern Alsace using reverse-welted or machine-welted stitching. This specialized technique made their shoes famously impermeable, and allowed them to start making leather ski boots (which the French Olympic team would later wear) by the 1950s. Today, they’ve applied their distinctive technique to a wide range of shoes, which are worn by men the world over who want stylish, highly-protective footwear.
